In this 1968 Atlanta Journal-Constitution photo by Noel Davis, Coretta Scott King sits with tears in her eyes at teh funeral of her slain husband, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. To her left sits Harry Belafonte. Images such as this illustrate how news photography has captured the most dramatic and moving monents in history anc changedc the way people view the world and current events. This photo, along with more than 100 others, will be part of ‘Extra! Extra See All About It!: Photojournalism in Atlanta,’ a new exhibition that traces the evoulition of newspaper photography. The exhibition features more than 100 still photos showing some of the most fascinating moments of Atlanta’s history. November 22, 1997 – May 24, 1998. Nicholson Gallery ¥ Atlanta History Center.
